Adris Foundation has awarded more than 3 million kn for 40 projects and 28 scholarships
Adris Foundation, the largest corporative foundation in this part of Europe which promotes and encourages innovation and quality in scientific and artistic work, financially supports students and young scientists, protects and promotes Croatian originality, strengthens ecological awareness and gives help to the most needy in the Croatian society.
As a part of projects ‘Knowledge and discovery’, ‘Creation’, ‘Ecology and heritage’ and ‘Goodness’, more than 2 million and 300, 000 kunas and numerous scholarships were awarded to students of all age groups – high school students, pregraduate and graduate students as well as students at postgraduate studies. This is the third year since the Foundation was established, and it has donated almost 14 million kunas. ‘We hope that our donations will improve and enable better conditions for the realisation of these projects, plans and ideas, which will inevitably bring progress to the Croatian society as a whole’, says Zvonimir Mareković from Adris Foundation.
The scholarship-winning students were, of course, the happiest ones. 'I am delighted that they recognized my efforts. In any case, this scholarship will help me finance the further course of my studies. That means that my postgraduate studies will be followed by M.A. and Ph.D.studies, so there's a lot of work in front of me. There are many goals, but the most important thing is that I keep listening to my heart and myself and keep playing for myself and other people', says Petar Čulić, one of the scholarship-winning students. 'I travel a lot from another town and to diferent competitions and seminars, and this financial support means a lot to me. I will probably spend the money on that', Roland Grlica, another scholarship-winning student, added. Dnevnik hr - Nova TV Zaklada Adris Nova TV, dodjela stipendija |

The most famous person from Dugi Rat has done more for the promotion of his small hometown than a great number of those who think of themselves as irreplaceable alphas and omegas of social life in our small neighbourhoods that offers quality living, but also filled with problems which are being solved in a frustratingly slow manner or in no manner at all. One of the world's best young classic quitarists, our co-citizen Petar Čulić, thanks to his hard work, persistence and capabilities, has for a long time had his own 'strategy of escape', the possibility of moving to our any of the world's capital cities where he could have achieved a career of a top musician and a musical pedagogue, greater ackowledgement, fame and all the material things that go with it. However, even before his student days, Petar had made a strong decision about what he wants in life and what true life values are for him. He was also certain he could combine his professional and life priorities in a quality manner. He has chosen, which is surprising only for those who don't know him, to stay...
PETAR ČULIĆ ON CROATIAN NATIONAL TV
Petar had chosen to study at the Academy in Split which is a bit underestimated by the capital and our social elite, but is closer to Dugi Rat in which he lives and plans to continue so. Even now, after winning two rector's Awards, after starting the international classical guitar festival, after numerous awards won in competitions all over the world, during his postgraduate studies at a prestigious German university (which he could very well finish considerably before due time and that would make him the fIrst student in the history of the academy to achieve that!), he only leaves his little, peaceful corner of the world for a good reason and always keeps returning...
That's, gentlemen, the way you love Croatia. That's the way you love our small towns. Because the easiest thing is leaving.. and who will stay then to change for the better the things that are wrong and stop us from living our lives with full lungs?...
In the following sequence, take a look at Čulić featured in the TV show ''Dobrojutro Hrvatska' on channel HTV..
